St Patrick’s Day is here and we’re celebrating the Emerald Isle’s fave shade: green, of course! And while channelling Kermit the Frog probably doesn’t seem like the most stylish vibe you can serve right now, we’re pleased to announce that a head-to-toe green ‘fit can actually be très chic. Just look to the SS19 catwalks of Balenciaga, Givenchy and KENZO for proof – plus this on-point getup we’ve put together below…Denim on denim is still the move in pretty much every sitch. With spring in the air, you can just about pack away the puffer (for now, at least…) and simply flex in a jean jacket. Allow that to be the foundation of the ‘fit and team with pants in a similar shade on the bottom. Pro-tip: if a brighter green isn’t your bag, embrace the neutrals trend with a dark khaki. Of course, going in the opposite direction in a citrus green suit is also a stellar option. To finish, the lucky charm that ties any successful 17 March-inspired look together is a pair of fresh white kicks.

Say hey to the latest collab on the Vans block. Just in time for spring/summer 2019, the skateboard stalwart has teamed up with Ashley Williams, the London designer known for her brazen pattern clashes and provocative slogans (most notably those glitzy ‘ANXIETY’ hair grips you’ll have seen all over the ‘gram.)The collection is made up of 4 classic Vans styles (Authentic, Era, Slip-On, and Style 93) each with a bold, new update. Think clashing animal prints, rebellious slogans like ‘DON’T KNOW, DON’T CARE’, grungy piercing details and branded gothic-print laces. It’s safe to say our inner MySpace kids are freaking out RN. We’ll be teaming these with light-wash jeans and tie-dyed long sleeves for summer (when it finally rolls around).
When you think about the trends that come out of fashion month, it’s easy to let your mind go straight to the runways—and it makes sense. Historically, much of the focus has been on the catwalk. In the last several years, however, the focus has shifted (in part) to another aspect of fashion weeks in Copenhagen, New York, London, Milan, Paris, and more.Street style, which provides more immediately actionable inspiration, has continued to increase its market share of our attention, and it’s only natural. While the runways predict trends that will only become relevant in several months’ time, street style stars are wearing pieces that are predominately available in the moment and show us seasonally relevant styling tricks and trends that you can re-create immediately. That’s why I know that the colors below, which were all over street style this past fashion month, are likely going to be everywhere any minute now, more so than they are already. Just keep scrolling to see the proof, and shop each one.Probably not the technical term, but you know what I mean. Baby blue didn’t just steal the show this fashion month, it also stole a piece of my heart. From accessories to outerwear and even simple sweaters, the color gives any item a soft yet statement-making touch.Millennial Pink is out in favor of a bolder hue! Hot pink is the new kid in town, and if you’re worried about how to style it—don’t be. As you’re about to see, the hue pairs perfectly with white, cream, red, other shades of pink, and even black accessories, so consider the research phase complete.I want you to imagine what the flowers on a sprig of lavender look like—that’s what we’re going for here. A bold tone that can either add to your look in the form of just one piece or make your look by way of a monochrome ensemble. Whichever way you go, you won’t regret it.Arguably the scariest, but also my favorite—I think—muppet green was everywhere this fashion month, making it impossible to ignore. And, contrary to what you would think, you’re about to see how easy to style it is. Just add neutrals (think beige, black, and white) and more green. Not to be confused with mustard yellow—yellow mustard is the shade that works anytime, anyplace, and in any season. Whether you opt for a streetwear-inspired look or something sleek such as a trench coat and trousers, it’s a color for being seen in, and definitely worth an investment this spring.

Yet another season of fashion month has just come to a close and, as per usual, we kept a close eye on all incoming trends. From larger-than-life hats to delicate florals and citrus yellows – these are the seven trends we’re looking forward to wearing come autumn…Quirky jewellery was on the accessory agenda this season: we spotted paperclips and multi-coloured gems on the runways from Stella McCartney to Gucci. At Giambattista Valli floral dresses were styled with feathery heels, whereas Louis Vuitton went for dark tights and flat Western boots.Yellow continues to be a major colour trend – no matter the season. Our favourite citrus-coloured pieces on the runway were Fendi’s Retro-vinyl trench and Marc Jacobs’ sweeping off-shoulder evening gown.Long gone are thoughts of a plain beret or beanie: hats go above and beyond this time around. From a veiled bucket hat at Christian Dior to rebooted jester-esque pieces at Loewe, headwear just got a lot more interesting…How to make knitwear cooler? On the Burberry runway knotted silhouettes added texture and interest, and at JW Anderson braided yarns took centre stage on vertically-striped oversized jumpers.
After four cities and hundreds of shows, fashion month has sadly come to an end. Paris was our final stop, and as usual the City of Light didn’t disappoint. There was plenty of street style inspo on the go too, and we’ve sifted through the lot to bring you six of the freshest ‘fits to inspire your new-season line-up.
