  2. A beach towel (obvs)
We totally get that you’re not gonna forget a beach towel. We just think it might be worth getting a new one that’s just as epic as the rest of your wardrobe. Loads have just landed on site, which are calling out for an Insta pic…
  3. Day-to-night dresses
Whether it’s a maxi or a tea dress, choose wisely babe. If you pick the right dresses this summer, you’re gonna be able to save room and pack more of the bulky stuff (aka shoes and makeup). Here are some of our faves RN… Just swap your sandals for a pair of mules or wedges and a wooden bag.

Cba taking a load of different bags for every possible situation? A cross body bag is the answer. You can actually fit a good amount of stuff in them, which probs can’t be said for a clutch bag. They’re also a LOT cuter than your mums beach bag she’s leant you from Cyprus 2006. These are some of our faves RN…

TOPSHOP:How To Wear Your New Sundress When It’s Raining

Think you can’t wear your new sundress because of the rain? If you don’t want to wait until the heatwave finally shows up (hopefully soon), we’ve come up with some clever styling ideas that say summer when the weather is still saying something else…

  1. With a polo
Go for a tennis-inspired look by adding a polo top and box fresh trainers to your look. A bucket hat and denim jacket will keep you dry, whilst the all-white styling gives a fresher appeal.
  2. With a trench coat
Give the classic trench coat and midi dress combination a new lease of life by adding brown croc accessories and a headband that should tame hair gone frizzy in the rain.
  3. With a jumper
Unexpected layers can make your sundress rainproof. Opt for beige pieces to complement a nautical striped dress and add some tie dye to make it feel modern. Patent boots and a bucket hat give the final touches.

Despite last summer’s obsession, shell jewelry is every bit as trendy this season (if not more). Surrender to the 90s nostalgia and team the must-have accessory with everything from crisp caftans to blue denim.
Few things say summer like an espadrille. The classic Spanish sandal with its jute sole and lace-up ribbons is always a winner on days when the sun is shining. Flats or wedges? It’s your call.
A sarong is a beach bag essential with multipurpose potential. Consider it a chic yet convenient cover-up that can be tied, wrapped or layered in many different ways: think skirt, dress, top, turban — or beach blanket.
A simple yet effective way of elevating a monochrome ensemble is by redirecting the focus to the accessories. Opt for a pair of mood-boosting earrings in a poppy color for a vibrant vacation feel.
Heading to the beach? Don’t forget to bring a hat to protect your face from the sun. Go for a functional yet striking version in braided straw with a grosgrain band and fray-edge brim for extra fashion flair.
The versatile net bag makes an effortless transition from city streets to sandy shores. Still an “It-item” to be reckoned with, giving us a legit reason to show off market-bought citrus fruits for yet another season.
Make a summery statement by adorning yourself in golden charm bracelets that drip delicate stones, pearls and shells, and add more chains to the mix for a personal touch. Life is a beach!
Welcome the vacay vibes into your wardrobe by trading your mini for a fashionable fringe straw bag with room for more than just the essentials, and be ready for anything the day has in store.
A silky satin scarf is already an accessory staple for most and a go-to hair adornment for summer. Bring immediate chicness to any warm-weather look by knotting it around your head or ponytail.
Vintage-inspired coin necklaces are likely to become your most-worn accessories over the coming months. The easy-to-wear pendants are perfect for layering and add fashion value to exactly every outfit.

Hands up if this week you came into work sweating but were freezing by 10am thanks to the air con? From the furnace-like commute to fridge-like offices, summer is super-tricky to navigate when it comes to what to wear. But it is possible to stay comfy – and our ASOSers are proof. Check out how they’re bossing the summer temps in style at ASOS HQ.
A skirt suit like Senior Social Creative Jess’s is the answer to all your summer workwear prayers. Smart and stylish? Check. Cool for the tube? You got it – just carry the blazer. Warm enough for the air-con blast? Yes siree. Go for a neon orange vibe and add a fresh white tee and trainers.
If you’re anything like us, a maxi dress will be the first thing you crack out when the temperatures rise. Social Media Assistant Natalie is rocking a check version by ASOS WHITE and we’re 100% here for the fresh print mash-up and cute wrap front. If your office requires a more formal vibe, swap the trainers for some block-heel mules.
Of course, not all offices have climate control and if yours is more like an overheated oven a look like social media assistant Morgan’s is a good option. The versatility of the satin skirt is limitless, and now you can add ‘summer workwear hero’ to its list of accomplishments. Keep things simple with a clean white T-shirt and some Nike Air Max.
Even though it’s pretty hot ATM, who knows when we’ll be reaching for our umbrellas again. If the chill/rain sets in, make like Junior Copywriter Titi and opt for a sky-blue blazer and light-wash mom jeans. At least your outfit will be somewhat summery, even if the weather isn’t.

When it comes to holiday style inspiration, Instagram has it all. But with all that content coming at you, it can take an age to trawl through and find the good stuff. To help you and your thumbs out, below we’ve picked out seven of the best vaycay-ready outfits from ASOS we’ve spotted on the ‘gram recently. Check them out below and shop the gallery to create the looks yourself.
Fly style
We don’t know about you, but lately our feeds have been bursting with influencers rocking a comfy-glam look on their way to catch a flight. It’s all about sweats, crop tops and chunky trainers, but done in a polished way – like the slick monochrome ensemble above.
Shorts story
There’s not much denim shorts can’t do when you’re on holiday, serving you from the beach to the bar. Here, Ellie Joslin pairs her trusty cut-offs with a white bikini, wearing a striped shirt over the top for a pop of fresh pastels. So good.
Dress for success
Here, Scottish blogger Amy Bell shows us how to explore any European city in style – a tea dress and espadrilles are the definition of continental class. For a more comfy option on a long day of sightseeing, swap the espadrilles for trainers or Teva sandals. Your feet will thank you.
The little things
If you want one quick and easy update you can make to your vaycay wardrobe, it’s a neon bikini from ASOS DESIGN. We’re loving how this Instaglammer has paired hers with a 90s-style bucket hat and some bling. Genius.
Get the boat
Whether you’re causally chilling on a yacht like beauty blogger Alice x T or headed on a night out in a foreign destination, a dramatic plunge dress is the ideal plus one. It’s a pretty big statement on its own, so make like Alice and just add a simple gold chain – and a super-glam makeup look, naturally.
Neutral ground
When packing, saving space via versatile pieces is imperative. And a top like the one Sarah Holder’s rocking is just that. Tapping into the neutral trend we’ve seen everywhere lately, this one is perfect for a night out, dinner by the pool or just a day exploring.

In between all the festivals and holidays that happen at this time of year, most of us still have jobs to attend to. But there is one perk that comes along with the office in the summertime – the work party. And whether that involves a full-on bash with the whole company, or just a night out with your closest colleagues, we’ve got just the outfits…
You’ll need a look that can be easily adapted into a more glam vibe with just one or two swaps – and that’s where this shorts-and-blazer duo comes in. ICYMI, we’ve been obsessing over suits like this since we saw them on the catwalks at Off-White and Jil Sander, and this stone-coloured mom version is a great choice for your 9-5. For the day, just add some low-key block heels or – if your office dress code permits – a pair of on-point trainers; Nikes’ Teknos, with that chunky silhouette, neon sole and snakeprint upper, are like a walking SS19 trend report. A cross-body bag is a nice add-on for carrying your phone – and some pens, maybe?
Then, when you’re done for the day, run to the nearest loo and swap out your tailored shorts for some legging ones (with some snakeprint detail, naturally). Then, throw on some sky-high Perspex heels and a pair of hoops. Ta-da! You’ve got a glam AF look that’s ready for a night on the town. Your taxi awaits…

TOPSHOP:Get To Know This Multitalented Singer Before Everyone Will Be Obsessed With Her

Don’t know ARK yet? We’re predicting big things for her. The singer who describes her own music as “wounded pop” and plays piano, guitar and a bit of drums, released her album “The Shadow in My Company” in 2018. We sat down with her to talk about career highlights, the inspiration for her songs and how her style differs from being on stage to her daily life…
Which one of your songs should people listen to first?
Operator. It bridges the gap between my debut EP and the new music to come.
How did you first get into music?
My parents. They have the BEST taste in music and I’m so fortunate that my childhood was spent exposed to music (and instruments) from all over the world.
Which artists inspired you to want to become a musician?
Joni Mitchell, Jeff Buckley and Neil Young. I binged on these three artists for years in my teens and they’ve influenced me massively.
Where do you find inspiration for your music?
In people and their emotions. Everything man-made in the world is here because of emotion (want, need, love etc) and I think thats the most powerful and fascinating thing in the world.
How would you describe your style?
Comfort is key, with a weird added edge somewhere. At the moment I’m really into Scandinavian and Japanese fashion.
Does your style change when you go on stage?
It usually gets a bit shinier. I have huge silver flares that I wear on stage but unfortunately can’t rock them down the high street! Or maybe I can?
What was your first live performance?
I was 15 and it was at a venue local to me (West End Centre). Me and my friends put on a show and sold it out to all our friends and family. I knew I wanted to do it forever after that night.
What was your favourite moment on stage so far?
Playing Hammersmith Apollo was a huge surreal milestone moment for me. Never thought I’d ever be on that stage singing my own songs! I’ve seen some of my favourite gigs there.
What was the highlight of your music career so far?
Every day is a highlight to be honest, as cheesy as it sounds. The fact that I have a career in music is a dream come true.
Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
On stage somewhere, performing the best songs I’ve ever written (please universe)! If I’m proud of the songs I’ve written, then I’ve succeeded.
What are you working on at the moment?
Oh man, I’m so excited. I’m finishing up new music and I can’t even tell you how excited I am to share it with the world! It’s my best work yet.
What meaning does the title of your in 2018 released album “The Shadow in My Company” has to you?
The Shadow in My Company represents a constant sense of longing, or searching. It’s a feeling hard to put into words, but it used to sit on my shoulder a lot. Though since writing those songs and releasing them, a lot has changed and I feel like I’m now at home in myself, so I wouldn’t say it holds the same meaning to me now as it did then.
What are your upcoming plans?
To finish these songs and give them to the world!!!! And to perform them wherever and whenever I can. Soooooon.

As in every modern story of love or friendship, Anajah Hamilton and Gabrielle Richardson met on Tumblr, double-tapping each other’s posts and sending images and artwork back and forth to one another.

Four years later they’re best friends in the real world too, and have initiated ARTHOE, an art collective where they host gallery nights, workshops, jam sessions and showcase the works of people from marginalized groups. Aside from the serious stuff, they’ve also gotten in and out of countless sticky situations together.

“We rarely do wild things, it’s more Scooby Doo-like situations,” they say while retelling stories of falling over on escalators, being scammed on concert tickets, AirBnb’s and the — still — painful memory of accidentally missing seeing Beyoncé in person at a grocery store.

“We’re best friends for a reason.”

Although they embark on adventures around the world, the backdrop to most of their shenanigans is New York City, especially below Union Square and around Brooklyn.

“I love that New York is a place where you never stop learning, and that it’s all about the grind for everyone — even millionaire and celebrity children will have to work 10 internships,” says Gabrielle.

“And I love how diverse it is! Not just because of people’s backgrounds, but because of the way people think. You find so many different types of thinking here, and there’s always a group you’ll resonate with,” says Anajah.

We meet the girls at one of their favorite spots — Fiat Café in Nolita — which they use as a base camp on weekends to bring all their friends together from Downtown, Uptown and Brooklyn before heading out.
“It’s an amazing bookstore. They have a lot of one-off prints, and if you want a book that’s only made in 100 copies, this is the place to go to. We go at least once a month, either for book signings or events. It’s a very typical New York bookstore.”

“Just around the corner from McNally Jackson is Fiat Café. A super-cute restaurant that’s a great meet-up spot for us and all of our friends. It doesn’t hurt that the ravioli is great, and the kale caesar salad, and the spaghetti with meatballs, and the chocolate mousse… We can go on.”

“We go here all the time. It’s a favorite because much of their work isn’t just visual — it’s fun, altruistic and they have great performances. This art museum is great at bringing the community together and representing diversity.”

“This independent movie theater shows foreign films, contemporary films and classics. It’s great for a date or just to go with your friends. They have a restaurant and a bar as well, which is perfect.”

“This is the Brooklyn equivalent to Central Park, meaning it’s less busy and less touristy. It’s a chiller version! Whenever it gets warm, we go out there to have picnics or just sit in the grass. The most inspiring parts of the city are the parts that are quiet, and Prospect Park is one of them.”
“I always want to be able to run at a moment’s notice. Got to catch that train! Also, I love bags and a big all-carrying one is essential in the city. You always need to have everything with you, ready to go.”

Gabrielle Richardson’s style is inspired by Solange Knowles, FKA Twigs, Diana Ross and Donna Summers. When styling her favorite look from H&M’s spring and summer collections, she opted for a printed swimsuit, white denim jeans, a braided rope tote bag and gold rings.

“I love how a swimsuit doesn’t have to be for the beach or the pool, but it’s nice to always be ready to go for a swim,” she says.
Anajah keeps her essentials analog. Trying to stay away from her phone, the young artist chooses a disposable camera because the pictures always turn out great, and scribbles down notes, drawings and music on paper because it’s tangible. Her other essentials include different lipsticks — because her lips are her favorite feature — and gold jewelry because it’s the accessories that tie all her outfits together.
“I think we dress similarly, a lot of times we’ll show up to events or just meeting for lunch and we’ll be wearing the exact same outfit and shoes or we’ll have on the exact same color!”

“I would totally steal her denim jacket with diamond fringes hanging from the sleeves, it’s gorgeous!”

“When she’s trying something new fashion-wise. She tries her best to always step out of the box, but I think the moment she decides to wear something daring, she second-guesses it. But she does it anyway and the execution is always so effortless!”

“Gabby is a great gift giver, I’d say the best gift she’s given me is a Jacquemus bag.”

“My earliest memory of Gabby is the first time I met her in person. It was at this party, it was really dark and smoky and everyone was having a fabulous time. Gabby appeared amidst all the craziness of the party, and as soon as she saw me she ran up to me, super-excited, and gave me a huge kiss on the forehead. It was, from my memory, the first time anyone had been so excited to meet me. I wasn’t sure if her excitement was genuine, but the closer we got after that, I learned that she was a very bubbly person and it all made sense!”

“Traveling with friends, shopping and tacos!”

“Will be there soonington haha.”

“Honestly, somewhere warm, maybe Bora Bora!”

It’s no secret that we love a co-ord. Not only do they look super-cute together, you can mix and match ‘em with pieces you already have to create lots of new outfits, too. Sold? We’ve picked out some of our fave styles right now to get you inspired.
Sunny delights
Co-ords don’t have to be super-casual, as this juicy combo proves. Pair this strapless top and flowy skirt with a cute beaded bag and wedge heels for those days when you want to be a little bit extra. There’s even a matching coat if you really want to go all-out. These pieces are also ideal for showing off glowy holiday skin, so pack this for your next escape to the sunshine (or wear it when you’re test-driving your new fake tan).
Lime time
Ticking off two key trends (hey, neon and legging shorts), this look’s got your next BNO written all over it. When you’re not wearing it out-out, you could easily slip an oversized denim jacket over the top and team with chunky trainers for a more low-key look. They’ll be green with envy.
Fresh prints
Houndstooth just got a 2019 makeover with this punchy pink and blue pairing, and it’s so good on denim that you’ll want to wear it twice. The print does the talking here, so all you need to do is slip a classic white tee under for an instant brunch-and-a-gallery kinda day outfit.
Snake news
This 90s-inspired getup will have you looking ssssso good – we’re especially into the snake motif slithering its way across the top. Dress up with heels and matching makeup vibes for that night out you’ve been planning for ages. Or, pair with this season’s chunky trainer sandals (aka trandels) for extra style points (and y’know, comfort).
Good sports
Who knew blue, camo and beige would work so well together? Athleisure looks A+ with this cropped hoodie and shorts. Obvs, trainers are a solid call here to finish the ‘fit, but you can play around with more glam heels to create that high-low look. A baseball cap is highly encouraged as the outfit finisher.
