ASOS:ASOS MAG CHATS TO ALICE T

More than half a million of us follow her for her speedy glam Insta tutorials and sickeningly creative eyeshadow looks, so if you’ve ever wanted to know more about biomed graduate and ASOS Face + Body insider Alice T, then look no further.
I first wore makeup…
‘In Year 8. Tons of Miss Sporty, even though it wasn’t allowed. Too-light foundation, lots of black eyeliner and mascara was my thing.’

USP
‘Instagram makeup videos. My followers love detail, especially shade names – they’re all about the perfect base. My signature is my natural lashes, never falsies – and my style is wearable makeup, not super Instagram-glam that looks good on camera, but extreme IRL.’

DNA
‘My Chinese mum has amazing skin from wearing SPF every day, a habit I need to get into. My brows and lashes are from my dad’s side. I curl my lashes, waterproof mascara holds the curl. Clinique Take The Day Off Balm removes it.’

Daily routine
‘I switch up products, but my favourites include Smashbox Primerizer, Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation in Valencia, a dark and a light concealer – Too Faced Multi-Use Concealer is good. Laura Mercier Translucent Powder to set, matte bronzer to add shape and warmth, shimmer bronzer like MAC Gold Deposit for glow. NARS blushers are great for all skin tones. Sleek Makeup Cleopatra’s Kiss is a go-to highlighter. Eyeshadow varies – I like Lime Crime palettes. Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara always, then lip liner and lipstick. MAC Lip Liner in Cork is good for deeper skin tones.’
Skin and haircare
‘I’ve got so much hair, it’s a hassle to deal with. I use OUAI Smooth Spray and Bumble and bumble Invisible Oil. I keep skincare simple – hot cloth cleanser, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, and I exfoliate with Dr. Oracle peeling swabs.’

The perfect blend-out
‘Don’t add too much product, build up slowly, take your time and use clean brushes.’

Vacation makeup
‘Tinted moisturiser, cream blush, highlighter and faux freckles. If it’s warm, I skip eyeshadow and do a bold lip. At a festival, glitter pastes like Lemonhead.LA all over eyes and cheekbones.’
