H&M: THE TOP 10 ACCESSORY HOT LIST

THE WHITE BOOTS
White walkers have been on our watchlist a couple of seasons now, and this is the season we predict the trend will explode. These ankle boots, with their chunky heels and perfectly pointed toe, are as good as they come.

THE EDGY CAT-EYES
No reason not to bring your favorite summer <span class=”woR”>accessories</span><span class=”woD”>A fashion accessory is an item used to contribute, in a secondary manner, to the wearer’s outfit, often used to complete an outfit and chosen to specifically complement the wearer’s look.</span> into the colder season. A pair of cat-eyed sunglasses gives the perfect edge to a classic coat-and-boots look.

THE MEGA SCARF
Bigger is better this season, at least when it comes to scarves. Our must-have du jour is made from premium quality wool and comes in a very trendy mustard yellow.

THE COGNAC-COLORED BUCKET BAG
Has any budget-friendly bag ever looked this good? We think not. Rich shades of beige – think cognac and caramel – are our go-tos this season, both for accessories and key pieces.

THE LEATHER GLOVES
Get in touch with your inner lady this fall. A pair of elegant leather gloves is one of the season’s key accessories. The smooth leather texture of the gloves is the perfect contrast to a fluffy faux fur and the chicest way to <span class=”woR”>dress</span><span class=”woD”>A dress (also known as a frock or a gown) is a garment consisting of a skirt with an attached bodice (or a matching bodice giving the effect of a one-piece garment).</span> up an everyday denim look.

THE GOLDEN CHARM
Imagine an antique coin, preferably part of a treasure discovered on a sunken pirate ship. Now, go get it at the high street.

THE CAPTAIN’S CAP
Pair a romantic, ankle-length dress with a boyish captain’s cap and <span class=”woR”>fashion</span><span class=”woD”>Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. Fashion is a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. It is the prevailing styles in behaviour and the newest creations of textile designers.</span> magic appears. Bonus: a simple and super-trendy styling trick for bad hair days.

THE EYE-CATCHING BELT
The Wild Wild West meets Parisian boho chic in this season’s best accessories. Put focus on the waist with the help of a decorated buckle belt.

THE TASSEL EARRINGS
The season’s palette is extra autumn-y this year. Black and brown make up our favorite color combo, especially on a pair of fun-yet-chic tassel earrings.

THE WESTERN BOOTS
If we have to name one it-shoe of the season, it would have to be the cowboy-inspired boot. It comes in all shapes – from beneath-the-ankle low to knee-high – but we prefer a classic ankle boot. Match with a leopard-print midi skirt and a knitted sweater for the perfect everyday look.

H&M: THE PERFECT FALL WARDROBE

LAZY, LUXE AND SOFT MORNINGS
Start your day off right in soft September, with sun rays streaming through the French balcony doors (yes, we have Paris on our minds), dressed in the finest silk underwear and a super-cozy, alpaca wool mix cardigan. We’ll wear it with everything this season – a casual jeans-and-t-shirt look or over a fancy silk slip <span class=”woR”>dress</span><span class=”woD”>A dress (also known as a frock or a gown) is a garment consisting of a skirt with an attached bodice (or a matching bodice giving the effect of a one-piece garment).</span>.

THE FOREVER COMBO
Having one of those “I have nothing to wear” moments? The classic white <span class=”woR”>shirt</span><span class=”woD”>A shirt is a cloth garment for the upper body.</span> and indigo jeans have saved us from numerous wardrobe crises. The key to making the look last forever is to invest in quality pieces with a focus on details – like a premium pima cotton shirt with slightly oversized cuffs.

A NEW TAKE ON THE POWER SUIT
Off to rule the world? Don’t forget to put your armor on. This season’s best suit is made from a premium twill wool fabric, the blazer is fitted and the pants are wide, and they both come in a rich shade of cognac. A super-trendy silhouette and instant classic in one.

CITY CHIC IN CASHMERE CLASSICS
We can’t all rule the world, though. For us, just looking for a chic and semi-casual work look, a cashmere roll-neck sweater, worn with a white shirt and wide pants or jeans, is the perfect everyday choice. Layer with this season’s investment piece: a camel-colored, double-breasted wool coat.

FLUFFY MOHAIR DREAMS
Fashion statements can be cozy and comfy, too. Fall’s best friend is a loose-knit mohair mix sweater with too-long sleeves. Wear with a faux fur to enhance the fluffy feel, and make sure not to spill your Sunday brunch all over it.

ALL IN ON FALL
Chestnut, auburn, chocolate… There’s no color palette we love more than fall’s, and this season we’re going all in: layering calf-length dresses with cashmere knits and scarves.

THE STATEMENT (FAUX) FUR
If you don’t have (at least) one faux fur coat in your wardrobe, you haven’t done your <span class=”woR”>fashion</span><span class=”woD”>Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. Time to invest in one! We’re in love with this premium quality gray coat – perfect for all occasions. Dress it down with a casual denim look for a weekend croissant and coffee run or pair it with your most elegant evening dress.

A NEW CLASSIC
A simple silk shirt is the most important staple in our everyday wardrobe. Our favorite comes in a mustard yellow – the season’s key color – and is best worn with dark indigo jeans. Layer with a tonal roll-neck underneath for colder days.

H&M: INTRODUCING MORRIS & CO X H&M

As the weather cools and our light, bright and breezy clothes are put into storage, we move into fall with cozy knits, strong tailoring and romantic dresses on our minds. But colder temps do not at all expel colors, prints and florals from our sartorial lives. It’s the other way around – and H&M has news that lets you stay in bloom all year round. A print collab with the iconic and quintessentially British interiors brand Morris & Co drops into stores and online on October 4.

“The Morris & Co prints are some of the most recognized and loved around the world, while William Morris is not only synonymous with the Arts and Crafts movement, but also a strong advocate of beautiful <span class=”woR”>design</span><span class=”woD”>Design is the creation of a plan or convention for the construction of an object or a system (as in architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, business processes, circuit diagrams and sewing patterns).[1] Design has different connotations in different fields (see design disciplines below). In some cases the direct construction of an object (as in pottery, engineering, management, cowboy coding and graphic design) is also considered to be design.</span>. We’re thrilled to be collaborating on a collection with this iconic British brand and to be able to share these designs with our customers,” says Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Design Director.

The collection is full of fall must-haves, with a wide range of tailored coats, jackets and pants, romantic dresses and blouses, knitwear and coordinated separates. The printed pieces in the collection – which feature Morris & Co’s masterpieces Love is Enough, Lily Leaf, Marigold and Pimpernel – are made in wool blends, velvet and fluid fabrics, and include on-trend details like tie-necks, voluminous sleeves, knife pleats and ruffles.

Almost all prints featured in the collection date back to the late 1800s, when the <span class=”woR”>company</span><span class=”woD”>A company is an association or collection of individuals, whether natural persons, legal persons, or a mixture of both. As one of the most outstanding and influential designers of the Arts & Crafts movement, his work has served as inspiration for generations of artists and designers.

“As custodians of William Morris’ original company, we keep his legacy alive today through the creation of beautifully crafted fabric and wallpaper collections inspired by our archive and all aspects of his work. This collaboration enables us to show the relevance of Morris’ iconic patterns today and we are delighted to work with H&M and to bring these designs to a new audience within the <span class=”woR”>fashion</span><span class=”woD”>Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. H&M: HOW TO STYLE THIS SEASON’S KEY JACKETS

A SOFT MONOCHROME
We love a tonal look, but choose your pieces with care – you don’t want the outfit to melt together. The trick to making each piece stand out is to mix materials and textures. Wear a fluffy fur – this season’s trend piece – with classy pants and a soft, loose-fit t-shirt.

A BOXY STATEMENT
When dark, fall-like mornings approach, our outfit inspiration tends to run a little low. Enter the statement <span class=”woR”>jacket</span><span class=”woD”>A jacket is a mid stomach length garment for the upper body. A jacket typically has sleeves, and fastens in the front or slightly on the side. A jacket is generally lighter, tighter-fitting, and less insulating than a coat, which is outerwear. Some jackets are fashionable, while others serve as protective clothing.</span> – perfect for turning a simple, all-black look into an eye-catching on-trend outfit. Our favorite <span class=”woR”>style</span><span class=”woD”>Style is a manner of doing or presenting things, especially a fashionable one.</span> for the season is checkered and bulky – balance the silhouette with classics pumps (worn with socks on cold days) or a sleek sock boot.

A TRANSITIONAL CLASSIC
If you don’t have a classic, blazer-style jacket in your wardrobe, it’s time to invest in one. Wear with a shiny patent <span class=”woR”>skirt</span><span class=”woD”>A skirt is a tube- or cone-shaped garment that hangs from the waist or hips and covers all or part of the legs. The hemline of skirts can vary from micro to floor-length and can vary according to cultural conceptions of modesty and aesthetics as well as the wearer’s personal taste, which can be influenced by such factors as fashion and social context. Most skirts are self-standing garments, but some skirt-looking panels may be part of another garment such as leggings, shorts, and swimsuits.</span> and roll up your jacket sleeves to create a boxy silhouette.

H&M: A FASHION GIRL’S DENIM GUIDE

THE HIGH-LOW – MIX SILK AND DENIM
Vintage-style <span class=”woR”>jeans</span><span class=”woD”>Jeans are trousers typically made from denim or dungaree cloth. Often the term “jeans” refers to a particular style of pants, called “blue jeans,” which were invented by Jacob Davis in 1871[1] and patented by Davis and Levi Strauss on May 20, 1873. Originally designed for cowboys and miners, jeans became popular in the 1950s among teenagers, especially members of the greaser subculture.</span> are still all the fashion girls’ go-to item. To create an on-trend style clash, wear with a luxe silk shirt – make sure to tuck it in – and a chunky chain necklace, this season’s must-have accessory.

THE DOUBLE DENIM – A JACKET IS NOW A SHIRT
A perfect look for in-between-seasons days. Matchy-matchy is back, so look for a skirt and a <span class=”woR”>denim</span><span class=”woD”>Denim[1] is a sturdy cotton warp-faced[2] twill textile in which the weft passes under two or more warp threads. This twill weaving produces the familiar diagonal ribbing of the denim that distinguishes it from cotton duck (a linen canvas).</span> jacket in the same wash and color. A styling trick to create a more interesting silhouette is to simply tuck in the jacket and roll up the sleeves.

THE EVERYDAY UNIFORM – BLACK IS THE NEW INDIGO
Edgy yet sleek – black denim is an underrated wardrobe staple. This season, we wear ours with a white roll-neck to create a minimal, slightly retro look. Add a pair of silver hoops and a beret because Paris is reclaiming its crown as the <span class=”woR”>fashion</span><span class=”woD”>Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. H&M: THESE CELEBS WORE H&M TO THE MET GALA

KIERSEY CLEMONS
Actress Kiersey Clemons wore a richly beaded <span class=”woR”>dress</span><span class=”woD”>A dress (also known as a frock or a gown) is a garment consisting of a skirt with an attached bodice (or a matching bodice giving the effect of a one-piece garment).</span> like a netting of gold and pearls. A diamond-shaped embroidered net sat close against her body with a deep neckline, leading to a full yet straight skirt held by a soft crinoline, the embellished net sitting on sheer nude organza.

LILI REINHART
The Riverdale actress’ silver dress was inspired by armour. The cloud-like drape of silver lamé organza was held by a silver corset, decorated with chunky metal chains in antique silver, while silver lamé organza was draped first as a mini-<span class=”woR”>skirt</span><span class=”woD”>A skirt is a tube- or cone-shaped garment that hangs from the waist or hips and covers all or part of the legs. Most skirts are self-standing garments, but some skirt-looking panels may be part of another garment such as leggings, shorts, and swimsuits.</span>, before billowing into a long train.

“This is my first Met Gala… I still can’t believe I’m going. I feel honoured to be surrounded by such incredible artists and wear this customised gown. I feel like a gilded princess,” she said before taking the red carpet.

ALEK WEK
The model and activist wore a draped, flowing gown that took inspiration from mosaics. With a long train of silver and jewel tones created from a pattern of beading and sequins, Alek Wek looked as heavenly as ever.

“The hand-beading and embroidery that has gone into this dress is extraordinary. It is so perfect to wear on this special night,” says Alek Wek.

JASMINE SANDERS
The model and actress, also known as Golden Barbie, wore a voluminous gown of gold bronze metal lamé. The gown was softly draped off the shoulder, then held by an elegant slim waist. The dress then released into a dramatic full silhouette, a high slit revealing Jasmine’s legs to emphasise the modern lightness.

OLIVIA MUNN
The actress and model wore a daring sleeveless chainmail dress that draped on the body like liquid. Golden chainmail was cut long and lean, with a plunging neckline and open sides, held by links of golden rings that revealed the skin beneath.

“I love how this chainmail dress takes the theme of the exhibition and pushes it somewhere modern and fresh. It’s so much fun to wear,” says Olivia Munn.

LUKA SABBAT
In an extravagant robe, entirely hand-embroidered with sequins, the model and influencer’s look clearly adhered to the Heavenly Bodies theme. The intricate pattern was made from sequins in antique silver, deep red, burgundy, gold and royal blue, while the cuffs, shawl collar and lining were in black silk. Luka also wore tuxedo <span class=”woR”>trousers</span><span class=”woD”>Trousers (pants in North America and Australia) are an item of clothing worn from the waist to the ankles, covering both legs separately (rather than with cloth extending across both legs as in robes, skirts, and dresses). In the UK the word “pants” generally means underwear and not trousers.[1] Shorts are similar to trousers, but with legs that come down only to around the area of the knee, higher or lower depending on the style of the garment. To distinguish them from shorts, trousers may be called “long trousers” in certain contexts such as school uniform, where tailored shorts may be called “short trousers”, especially in the UK.</span> made from sustainable materials organic silk, Tencel® and wool.

H&M: DRESSING FOR A LONG DAY AT THE BEACH

A BIKINI PERFECT FOR SUNBATHING
