H&M:PARTY ACCESSORIES TO DESIRE

1. THE PARTY SOCK
A pointy black patent pump is basically the LBD of the shoe <span class=”woR”>wardrobe</span><span class=”woD”>A wardrobe is a standing closet used for storing clothes. Many people[who?] argue that wardrobes are different in use and style of closets, but they were created by the French to be used as a closet. The earliest wardrobe was a chest, and it was not until some degree of luxury was attained in regal palaces and the castles of powerful nobles that separate accommodation was provided for the apparel of the great. The name of wardrobe was then given to a room in which the wall-space was filled with closets and lockers, the drawer being a comparatively modern invention[citation needed]. From these cupboards and lockers the modern wardrobe, with its hanging spaces, sliding shelves and drawers, evolved slowly.</span>. Put an extra-festive spin on the classic <span class=”woR”>style</span><span class=”woD”>Style is a manner of doing or presenting things, especially a fashionable one.</span> with a chic sock pairing in a sheer polka-dot pattern.
2. THE 80S GLAM GOAL
Take holiday dressing to the next level by channeling a bit of 80s glam. Go all-in party with a glitter-ball dress and a pair of big sparkly earrings. Dare to shine bright, yes – like a diamond.
3. THE CHAIN BAG
Let the golden chain-link of a small shoulder bag make a statement of its own. Accessorize your afterdark look by wearing it nonchalantly wrapped around the wrist. Minimal effort, high impact.
4. THE HOT HOSIERY
The <span class=”woR”>fashion</span><span class=”woD”>Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. Fashion is a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. It is the prevailing styles in behaviour and the newest creations of textile designers.</span> girl’s alternative to basic black tights is spelled lace. Unexpected hosiery is a foolproof way of giving your party wardrobe an upgrade – without the risk of overspending.
5. THE EXTRA EARWEAR
You’ll still be wearing these sculptural earrings long after the holidays are over. The decorative danglers are the extra in any ensemble and make a smooth transition from day to dance floor.
6. THE DIAMOND DO
When you’ve picked out what to wear, it’s time to add the glitter. Adorn yourself in dazzling layers of bracelets and mirror the glimmer with a crystal-embellished bag. Never hold back on the sparkle.
7. THE LUXE SCRUNCHIE
Need a super-quick hair fix? Make a messy top knot and secure it with a lustrous velvet scrunchie. This party-ready hair style is cool and quirky, yet elegant enough to elevate your evening look.
8. THE BELT TRICK
A waist belt is the sort of accessory that can make an entire outfit, transforming a dress or blazer from simple to stunning in a second. Choose a wide, waist-cinching version for a fashion-forward approach.
9. THE CLUTCH BAG(S)
Nothing says cocktail party elegance more than a classic envelope clutch bag, or two – if you’re feeling adventurous. Now here’s the question: solid color or sparkly gold and glitter? Tough call.
10. THE SPARKLY HOOPS
These crystal-encrusted hoops are guaranteed to take your look to a new stylish dimension. Team the gleaming jewels with pared-back suiting, tapping into that ultra-luxe black tie glamour.

H&M:NURIA VAL’S ULTIMATE GIFT GUIDE

What the Spanish <span class=”woR”>style</span><span class=”woD”>Style is a manner of doing or presenting things, especially a fashionable one.</span> maven, creative force and world-traveler wants in her holiday stockings.
The holidays are creeping closer and model-turned-creative director Nuria Val is busy decorating her awe-inspiring Barcelona apartment and finding the perfect presents for her loved ones. To help you get ready for the celebrations, Nuria guides you through the best of the best from H&M and H&M Home – either to give to someone else or, even better, to yourself.

1. FOR EVENINGS OUT
“This is the perfect <span class=”woR”>blouse</span><span class=”woD”>A blouse is a loose-fitting upper garment that was formerly worn by workmen, peasants, artists, women and children.[1] It is typically gathered at the waist or hips (by a waistband or belt) so that it hangs loosely (“blouses”[2]) over the wearer’s body.</span> to wear to any dinner party! I love its deep and rich color and that it’s both so elegant and so comfortable. It’s a great gift this time of year to wear at all events with family and friends.”

2. FOR EVENINGS IN
“There’s not much to say about this present – this blanket is perfect for movie nights at home with popcorn and cuddling up on the sofa. It matches the color scheme of my house perfectly too.”

3. FOR YOUR HOME
“I love the <span class=”woR”>vintage</span><span class=”woD”>Vintage, in winemaking, is the process of picking grapes and creating the finished product (see Harvest (wine)). A vintage wine is one made from grapes that were all, or primarily, grown and harvested in a single specified year.</span> feel of this H&M Home vase. It’s perfect for any type of flowers, but especially for my favorite mix of different shades of red.”

4. FOR ALL THE TIME
“I love scented candles and this one gives an amazing warm feeling at home. I really enjoy lighting up the table with candles during dinner and this winter I’m into a lemongrass scent.”

5. FOR YOUR MEMORIES
“As a photography lover I have frames all over my place, but I need more and it’s actually a great present for me since I love to print photos.”

6. FOR SEEING YOURSELF
“I love small wooden pieces, this one is a beautiful mirror that I place on top of the chest of drawers in my bedroom.”
NURIA ON…

THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS
“It’s spent with my family! We rent a house in the mountains, and since I have a huge family – we need a huge house. We spend the day and night there and end up dancing and playing games with my little cousins.”

THE MOST MEMORABLE GIFT
“I’m so fascinated by astrology, and my favorite gift came last year when my boyfriend gave me a telescope. But there was a catch! The telescope wasn’t put together and instead I had to follow a lot of funny instructions to find the seven different pieces hidden around the house, our car, and in other places in Barcelona. It was really fun – and I love my telescope!”

GIVING OR RECEIVING PRESENTS
“Giving! I get very shy when I open a present because everyone is looking at me! I prefer to give presents, especially the ones I know will be the hits of the year!”

NURIA’S FAVORITE…

CHRISTMAS MOVIE… Home Alone

CHRISTMAS SONG… A Frank Sinatra classic: Silent Night

CHRISTMAS FOOD… Baked fish with sliced potatoes and onions

CHRISTMAS TRADITION… We put a shoe under the Christmas tree, so in the morning we find it filled with our favorite candies. I don’t like candy so I usually get a bag of cashews instead!

H&M:ALL ON RED – HOW TO WEAR THIS WINTER’S IT-COLOR

See three great ways to brighten up the dark months.
THE STATEMENT BLAZER
Not ready to fully commit to a monochrome red look? A red <span class=”woR”>blazer</span><span class=”woD”>A blazer is a type of jacket resembling a suit <span class=”woR”>jacket</span><span class=”woD”>A jacket is a mid stomach length garment for the upper body. A jacket typically has sleeves, and fastens in the front or slightly on the side. A jacket is generally lighter, tighter-fitting, and less insulating than a coat, which is outerwear. Some jackets are fashionable, while others serve as protective clothing.</span>, but cut more casually. A blazer is generally distinguished from a sportcoat as a more formal garment and tailored from solid color fabrics. Blazers often have naval-style metal buttons to reflect their origins as jackets worn by boating club members.</span> with big lapels is one of winter’s It-pieces and partnering it with a silky cream-white slip dress will make the timeless combination feel a little brighter and bolder.
THE POWER OF RED
Going head-to-toe in the holiday season’s eternal It-color is a brilliant idea. A safe way to sidestep any resemblance to Mrs. Santa Claus – and keeping your look on trend – is by pairing two of this year’s key items, the paper bag-waist pants and the off-shoulder knit, with clean golden jewelry.
IN THE DETAILS
If you prefer staying low-key and only want to infuse tiny elements of red into your look, opt for a girly wrap-over<span class=”woR”>dress</span><span class=”woD”>A dress (also known as a frock or a gown) is a garment consisting of a skirt with an attached bodice (or a matching bodice giving the effect of a one-piece garment).</span> that sends a message of love, which is best matched with a deep red lip and black pumps.

H&M:THE PERFECT GOLDEN SMOKY EYE YOU NEED

Curated Eye Quad (shade: Box Of Chocs)

Curated Eye Pen (shade: Choc Luxe)

Chromology Eye Colour (shade: Au-Dacious)

Metallised Drops (shade: Molten Bronzed)
STEP 1
Apply one of the paler shades from the Curated Eye Quad palette (we use shade B from the color Box of Chocs) all over your eyelid and right up to your brow. Use a brush to shade it evenly. But before doing anything, warm up the pigment on your hand to remove any excess <span class=”woR”>product</span><span class=”woD”>In marketing, a product is anything that can be offered to a market that might satisfy a want or need. In <span class=”woR”>retail</span><span class=”woD”>Retail is the process of selling consumer goods and/or services to customers through multiple channels of distribution to earn a profit. Demand is created through diverse target markets and promotional tactics, satisfying consumers’ wants and needs through a lean supply chain. , products are called merchandise. In manufacturing, products are bought as raw materials and sold as finished goods. Commodities are usually raw materials such as metals and agricultural products, but a commodity can also be anything widely available in the open market.</span>

from the brush.

STEP 2
To give your eyes even more definition, use the same shade and brush under your eyes and on the outer corner of your eyelids as well. This gives you a more modern and even more smoky effect.

STEP 3
Use the Choc Luxe Eye Pencil and shade in-between your lashes to make your lash line more defined.

STEP 4
Time to bring out the sparkle! Take one of the bronzy eyeshadows with shimmer (we use shade D from the Curated Eye Quad palette) and apply it in the center of your eyelid and up to your brow, then finish by applying it in the corner right by your inner eye. Use a paler gold shadow if you prefer a lighter highlight.

STEP 5
Finally – add Chromology Eye Colour (we use the color Au-Dacious) on the center of your eye and up to the brow to maximize your golden glow. Optional: finish the look by applying Metallised Drops on the high points of your face (including lips) for an all-over golden highlight.

H&M:HOW WE DRESS FOR THE SEASON’S BEST PARTIES

LUXE LOUNGEWEAR
The hours leading up to a big night are often more thrilling than the event itself. Just like the last days of spring offer a foretaste of the summer sweetness to come, the process of getting ready for long-awaited evenings fills us with the same excitement and anticipation. The ultimate preparation? Sleeping in super-soft silk sleepwear (and eating a big, late and long breakfast in bed, of course).

NEXT LEVEL EAR CANDY
The days of over-the-top beauty regimens are behind us. Instead of heavy makeup and advanced hairdos, opt for a natural beauty look and let statement <span class=”woR”>accessories</span><span class=”woD”>A fashion accessory is an item used to contribute, in a secondary manner, to the wearer’s outfit, often used to complete an outfit and chosen to specifically complement the wearer’s look.</span> enhance your features. This season we want to be dripping in eye-catching and statement-making jewelry. Oversized rhinestone earrings are a guaranteed head-turner, and these clip-ons don’t even require you to get your ears pierced.

INVEST IN FOREVER PIECES
What’s the point of dressing up if what you wear limits you? The perfect combination of comfort and <span class=”woR”>style</span><span class=”woD”>Style is a manner of doing or presenting things, especially a fashionable one.</span> is spelled co-ords. A pair of tailored pants matched with a minimalistic – but perfectly detailed – crinkled top is the safest bet to give a laid-back cool approach to whatever event you’re rolling up to.

A NEW TAKE ON BLACK TIE
Some events call for traditional eveningwear – meaning tuxedos for the boys and gowns for the girls. But don’t let tradition dictate how you interpret a dress code. The ground rule of black tie is you have to dress to excess, which you definitely will in an elongated tuxedo jacket, a draped silk top and flats.

BORROW FROM THE BOYS
Don’t let masculine tailoring put you off! This updated wardrobe classic has a raw collar and comes in pure silk, and is best worn with shiny, wide pants and brushed metal accessories for a sophisticated feel.

IT’S OK TO PARTY IN PJs
There are parties we wish would never end, and then there are parties that make us long to go back to bed. Despite its name, the pajama suit is not made for the latter. This midnight blue two-piece has a print inspired by tree-rings and is sure to make a growing impact.

LONG LIVE YOUR HOOP DREAMS
Tiny, barely-there ear jewelry never goes out of style. These hoops may be small in size, but they’re massive on detail – being covered with shine and sparkle that will elevate whatever party look you wear.

THE LWD
When it comes to winter dressing, the little white dress is not top-of-mind… yet. More often thought of as an MVP in your spring and summer wardrobe, the classic is just a few styling tricks away from deserving the same treatment in your winter getup. Let the hemline overlap a pair of high and wide deep chocolate brown boots for a less prim and proper effect.

LET’S HAVE A BALL!
When it comes to show-stopping outfits, nothing beats a beaded sequin dress. With a flapper-style silhouette, padded shoulders and high side-slits, this sparkling gown is the ultimate party piece. Let the dress do the talking and wear it with simple <span class=”woR”>shoes</span><span class=”woD”>A shoe is an item of footwear intended to protect and comfort the human foot while doing various activities. Shoes are also used as an item of decoration. The design of shoes has varied enormously through time and from culture to culture, with appearance originally being tied to function.</span>, zero accessories and a pared-back beauty look.

AN EVENING ESSENTIAL
Having one of those “I have nothing to wear” moments? Then a simple and timeless long-sleeved black dress can be a lifesaver. The key to making it stand out in the masses is pairing it with stunning jewelry. Always.

H&M: THE PERFECT FALL WARDROBE

LAZY, LUXE AND SOFT MORNINGS
Start your day off right in soft September, with sun rays streaming through the French balcony doors (yes, we have Paris on our minds), dressed in the finest silk underwear and a super-cozy, alpaca wool mix cardigan. We’ll wear it with everything this season – a casual jeans-and-t-shirt look or over a fancy silk slip <span class=”woR”>dress</span><span class=”woD”>A dress (also known as a frock or a gown) is a garment consisting of a skirt with an attached bodice (or a matching bodice giving the effect of a one-piece garment).</span>.

THE FOREVER COMBO
Having one of those “I have nothing to wear” moments? The classic white shirt and indigo <span class=”woR”>jeans</span><span class=”woD”>Jeans are trousers typically made from denim or dungaree cloth. Often the term “jeans” refers to a particular style of pants, called “blue jeans,” which were invented by Jacob Davis in 1871[1] and patented by Davis and Levi Strauss on May 20, 1873. Originally designed for cowboys and miners, jeans became popular in the 1950s among teenagers, especially members of the greaser subculture.</span> have saved us from numerous wardrobe crises. The key to making the look last forever is to invest in quality pieces with a focus on details – like a premium pima cotton shirt with slightly oversized cuffs.

A NEW TAKE ON THE POWER SUIT
Off to rule the world? Don’t forget to put your armor on. This season’s best suit is made from a premium twill wool fabric, the blazer is fitted and the pants are wide, and they both come in a rich shade of cognac. A super-trendy silhouette and instant classic in one.

CITY CHIC IN CASHMERE CLASSICS
We can’t all rule the world, though. For us, just looking for a chic and semi-casual work look, a cashmere roll-neck sweater, worn with a white shirt and wide pants or jeans, is the perfect everyday choice. Layer with this season’s investment piece: a camel-colored, double-breasted wool coat.

FLUFFY MOHAIR DREAMS
Fashion statements can be cozy and comfy, too. Fall’s best friend is a loose-knit mohair mix sweater with too-long sleeves. Wear with a faux fur to enhance the fluffy feel, and make sure not to spill your Sunday brunch all over it.

ALL IN ON FALL
Chestnut, auburn, chocolate… There’s no color palette we love more than fall’s, and this season we’re going all in: layering calf-length dresses with cashmere knits and scarves.

THE STATEMENT (FAUX) FUR
If you don’t have (at least) one faux fur coat in your wardrobe, you haven’t done your <span class=”woR”>fashion</span><span class=”woD”>Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. Time to invest in one! We’re in love with this premium quality gray coat – perfect for all occasions. Dress it down with a casual denim look for a weekend croissant and coffee run or pair it with your most elegant evening dress.

A NEW CLASSIC
A simple silk shirt is the most important staple in our everyday wardrobe. Our favorite comes in a mustard yellow – the season’s key color – and is best worn with dark indigo jeans. Layer with a tonal roll-neck underneath for colder days.

H&M: THE TOP 10 ACCESSORY HOT LIST

THE WHITE BOOTS
White walkers have been on our watchlist a couple of seasons now, and this is the season we predict the trend will explode. These ankle boots, with their chunky heels and perfectly pointed toe, are as good as they come.

THE EDGY CAT-EYES
No reason not to bring your favorite summer <span class=”woR”>accessories</span><span class=”woD”>A fashion accessory is an item used to contribute, in a secondary manner, to the wearer’s outfit, often used to complete an outfit and chosen to specifically complement the wearer’s look.</span> into the colder season. A pair of cat-eyed sunglasses gives the perfect edge to a classic coat-and-boots look.

THE MEGA SCARF
Bigger is better this season, at least when it comes to scarves. Our must-have du jour is made from premium quality wool and comes in a very trendy mustard yellow.

THE COGNAC-COLORED BUCKET BAG
Has any budget-friendly bag ever looked this good? We think not. Rich shades of beige – think cognac and caramel – are our go-tos this season, both for accessories and key pieces.

THE LEATHER GLOVES
Get in touch with your inner lady this fall. A pair of elegant leather gloves is one of the season’s key accessories. The smooth leather texture of the gloves is the perfect contrast to a fluffy faux fur and the chicest way to <span class=”woR”>dress</span><span class=”woD”>A dress (also known as a frock or a gown) is a garment consisting of a skirt with an attached bodice (or a matching bodice giving the effect of a one-piece garment).</span> up an everyday denim look.

THE GOLDEN CHARM
Imagine an antique coin, preferably part of a treasure discovered on a sunken pirate ship. Now, go get it at the high street.

THE CAPTAIN’S CAP
Pair a romantic, ankle-length dress with a boyish captain’s cap and <span class=”woR”>fashion</span><span class=”woD”>Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture. Fashion is a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style in which a person dresses. It is the prevailing styles in behaviour and the newest creations of textile designers.</span> magic appears. Bonus: a simple and super-trendy styling trick for bad hair days.

THE EYE-CATCHING BELT
The Wild Wild West meets Parisian boho chic in this season’s best accessories. Put focus on the waist with the help of a decorated buckle belt.

THE TASSEL EARRINGS
The season’s palette is extra autumn-y this year. Black and brown make up our favorite color combo, especially on a pair of fun-yet-chic tassel earrings.

THE WESTERN BOOTS
If we have to name one it-shoe of the season, it would have to be the cowboy-inspired boot. It comes in all shapes – from beneath-the-ankle low to knee-high – but we prefer a classic ankle boot. Match with a leopard-print midi skirt and a knitted sweater for the perfect everyday look.

H&M: INTRODUCING MORRIS & CO X H&M

As the weather cools and our light, bright and breezy clothes are put into storage, we move into fall with cozy knits, strong tailoring and romantic dresses on our minds. But colder temps do not at all expel colors, prints and florals from our sartorial lives. It’s the other way around – and H&M has news that lets you stay in bloom all year round. A print collab with the iconic and quintessentially British interiors brand Morris & Co drops into stores and online on October 4.

“The Morris & Co prints are some of the most recognized and loved around the world, while William Morris is not only synonymous with the Arts and Crafts movement, but also a strong advocate of beautiful <span class=”woR”>design</span><span class=”woD”>Design is the creation of a plan or convention for the construction of an object or a system (as in architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, business processes, circuit diagrams and sewing patterns).[1] Design has different connotations in different fields (see design disciplines below). In some cases the direct construction of an object (as in pottery, engineering, management, cowboy coding and graphic design) is also considered to be design.</span>. We’re thrilled to be collaborating on a collection with this iconic British brand and to be able to share these designs with our customers,” says Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Design Director.

The collection is full of fall must-haves, with a wide range of tailored coats, jackets and pants, romantic dresses and blouses, knitwear and coordinated separates. The printed pieces in the collection – which feature Morris & Co’s masterpieces Love is Enough, Lily Leaf, Marigold and Pimpernel – are made in wool blends, velvet and fluid fabrics, and include on-trend details like tie-necks, voluminous sleeves, knife pleats and ruffles.

Almost all prints featured in the collection date back to the late 1800s, when the <span class=”woR”>company</span><span class=”woD”>A company is an association or collection of individuals, whether natural persons, legal persons, or a mixture of both. As one of the most outstanding and influential designers of the Arts & Crafts movement, his work has served as inspiration for generations of artists and designers.

“As custodians of William Morris’ original company, we keep his legacy alive today through the creation of beautifully crafted fabric and wallpaper collections inspired by our archive and all aspects of his work. This collaboration enables us to show the relevance of Morris’ iconic patterns today and we are delighted to work with H&M and to bring these designs to a new audience within the <span class=”woR”>fashion</span><span class=”woD”>Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, or furniture.
